This Privacy Policy explains how the Reminders - My Voice Reminders application ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. It applies to the Reminders - My Voice Reminders app published on Google Play. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Reminders - My Voice Reminders does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. We do not have servers that receive your data. We do not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, name, phone number, or any other identifying detail to use the app.
Everything you create in the app — reminders, titles, notes, times, and lists (such as shopping, health, or family lists) — is stored locally on your device only, inside the app's private storage. We cannot see this information, and it is not uploaded anywhere by the app.
The app requests certain device permissions strictly to deliver reminders reliably. Each one is used only for its stated purpose, on your device:
None of these permissions are used to gather information about you, and none send data to us.
The app lets you enter text by voice instead of typing, in two places. In both cases, the speech recognition is performed entirely by the built-in speech recognition engine of Android / Google on your device — never by the app itself.
RECORD_AUDIO) only while you are actively dictating. The microphone is active
only during dictation and turns off automatically when you finish or after a short pause. If you do not
grant this permission, the app falls back to the standard "speak now" dialog, which needs no permission. In all cases, the app does not record, save, or write any audio file. When you speak, the audio is processed by Google's speech engine and only the resulting text is returned to the app and stored locally on your device. Any further processing of that text (such as splitting it into list items or recognizing product names) is done locally on your device.
What happens to the audio inside Google's speech engine — including whether it is processed on the device or on Google's servers — is determined by that engine and by your device settings, and is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, not by us. You can read it at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you prefer not to use voice input at all, you can simply type your text instead — voice is optional.
The app can read a reminder aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. This happens on your device and does not send your reminder content to us.
The app offers one optional one-time purchase ("Unlock Lists") that removes a limit on creating new list-based reminders after a trial period. This purchase is processed entirely through Google Play Billing — your payment method, billing details, and transaction are handled directly by Google and never pass through us or get stored by us. The app only sends network requests to look up the product and confirm your purchase with Google Play's servers; this is the only reason the app requests internet access, and no other information is transmitted. Whether you own the purchase is recorded locally on your device (and re-confirmed with Google on each app open). Google's handling of your payment information is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, not by us.
Because the app does not collect your information, we do not use it for any purpose. We do not profile you, show personalized ads, or share information with advertisers or other third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, because we do not have it. The only third parties involved are Google's on-device speech recognition service described in section 3 (when you choose to use voice input) and Google Play Billing described in section 5 (when you choose to make the optional purchase).
The app is a general-purpose reminder tool and is not directed at children. Since the app does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your reminders and lists remain on your device until you delete them within the app, or until you uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data from your device. Since we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Your information stays within the app's private storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security (such as your screen lock). Because nothing is transmitted to us, there is no transmission for us to secure.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
